That despite of everyone knowing that it does not make sense, we still rush our asses to the theater for the next Dragon Ball movie and the next episode. I think that if the creators of Dragon Ball, especially Akira Toriyama, if they put their heads together to fix this problem the fans wont be so bother.īut you know what the funny thing is. How about if we at least make the power levels make sense. I mean forget the whole Trunks time like with Goku Black, that was a big enough mess. And so if its an anime about martial arts and fighting why don’t the creators spend more time crafting out a power system that makes sense for the Dragon Ball Universe. Dragon Ball is about pure action and martial arts. The story was not really meant to be so deep like other anime such as Naruto or Yu-Yu- Hakusho or heck even Bleach. The story is just to give a reason for the characters to fight. Dragon Ball is about action and fighting power. Before staging a rematch with Beerus back on Earth, Goku has Vegeta, Gohan, Trunks, Goten and the unborn Pan channel their energy into him, allowing him to transform. Lets call him an ultra namek.ĭragon Ball is not so much about story. Shortly thereafter, Goku learns from the Eternal Dragon Shenron that the form of Super Saiyan God can be achieved by harnessing the power of six Saiyans. In that case lets give Piccolo a power up, he is one of the popular characters so why not. Maybe they were in a rush to bring another saiyan transformation that they can see. Perhaps Akira Toriyama and the Dragon Ball didn’t have this in mind. At this point the fans are so confused that we don’t even pay attention to the power levels anymore. Is Super Saiyan Blue equal to Super Saiyan 4 from GT or is it beyond. What is the point of these power ups if regular characters and villains can stand up to Goku and Vegeta, I mean it makes no sense. They say that Broly had so much untapped power but Broly does not have the God energy so how was he able to put up a fight against Vegeta and Goku. Even Broly reached the same level as Goku with Broly’s rage. I like the days when we knew how strong the characters were, now it is all just for show. But then before the tournament of power, when Goku was recruiting and fighting all his friends, even Krillin was able to go up against Super Saiyan Blue. Soon after Goku turned Super Saiyan Blue he fought against Freeza and we were not surprise that their powers matched. We all thought that since Goku had god energy he would be invincible but that was not the case. When Goku fought against Beerus, it was something that we had never seen before. Super Saiyan God was cool when it first came out. Some will say, what is Dragon Ball without inconsistency? What is the point of calling it God Mode or God Ki(Chi) if even Krillin can match up to Goku’s level. Goku Super Saiyan Blue is fighting against some opponent that you think is weaker but somehow, his opponent is able to kick his ass, despite of the fact that Goku is far stronger or so we think.
